ClickUP Pricing: The 5 ClickUp Plans + Features (Do You Get What You Pay For?)

Before I upgraded my ClickUp plan from FREE to Business Plus, I had to do a great deal of research and, of course, testing. This not only helped me ease myself in when I started using ClickUp for my own agency, but also helped me understanding how the ClickUp pricing worked.

ClickUp is an absolute game-changer in the project management world, but IS IT REALLY FREE?! 

I know, I know. You’re probably thinking, “I hear about how robust ClickUp is all the time, so there must be a catch! It can’t possibly be free.” But I can 100% assure you, my friend, that you are in safe and outrageously capable hands.

ALSO YES, you can start with a ClickUp FREE plan!

However, there’s still a lot more to discuss when it comes to this project management tool than whether or not it has a free plan. 

In fact, I would go as far to say that no matter what industry you are in or size of your team; ClickUp has a solid, shut-up-and-take-my-money plan for everyone!

ClickUp Pricing and the 5 Plans

The 5 ClickUp plans are: the ClickUp FREE Plan, ClickUp Unlimited Plan, ClickUp Business Plan, ClickUp Business Plus Plan, and ClickUp Enterprise. Read on to learn more about what each of these ClickUp Pricing Plan entails!

ClickUp Free Plan

FOR MOSTLY PERSONAL USE

AdvantageThe FREE Plan is great for super small teams, and even at its basic offering is still pretty awesome compared to other project management tools like Asana or Trello.

The free ClickUp Plan is perfect for when getting your feet wet with all things ClickUp! You know, like learning how the hierarchy works, widgets, and other common functions.

  • Maximum 5 Spaces
  • 100MB Storage
  • Unlimited Tasks
  • Unlimited Members
  • Two-factor Authentication
  • Collaborative Documents
  • Real-time Chat
  • Email in ClickUp
  • Kanban Boards
  • Sprint Management
  • Native Time Tracking
  • In-app Video Recording
  • 24/7 Support
Limitations: 
You only get 5 spaces in ClickUp on the free version, and if you’re going to be using my custom templates, then it’s not going to be nearly enough! You’re really going to run out of spaces because this plan is mainly for personal use and not optimized for businesses with several team members and departments.
 

If you bring in people into your ClickUp, you have no way of filtering what they can or can’t see. In the free version, you can only add full-access members. 

So, let’s say you’re trying to share processes with your clients, they’ll be able to have access to EVERYTHING. If you see this as a potential issue, consider upgrading to the next tiers and save yourself the trouble.
 
The more kickass ClickUp features will either be unaccessible or you might have limited access at the FREE level. So, yeah, I don’t really like that. Hence, the upgrade!

ClickUp Unlimited Plan

BEST FOR SMALL TEAMS

AdvantageThe ClickUp Unlimited plan comes with a variety of value-added features and support that allow you to focus on and retain your clients and customers.

Let’s break down what you can expect from this ClickUp Pricing Plan:

  • Everything on the ClickUp Free Plan
  • Unlimited Storage
  • Unlimited Integrations
  • Unlimited Dashboards
  • Guests with Permissions
  • Unlimited Gantt Charts
  • Unlimited Custom Fields
  • Teams (User Groups)
  • Goals & Portfolios
  • Form View
  • Resource Management
  • Agile Reporting
Limitations: You only get 5 Guest seats with permission per 1 Member seat you pay for inside the Unlimited Plan. 

This is fine if you have 5 clients and under, but for bigger teams, you’re going to have to buy more Member seats to have more Guest seats… or you know, you can tier up with ClickUp Business Plan or ClickUp Business Plus Plan, so you can start your workspace off with 10 Guest seats per 1 Member seat.

ClickUp Business Plan

BEST FOR MID-SIZED TEAMS

Advantage: If you think the ClickUp pricing is too good to be true, then you’re going to love the ClickUp Business Plan (and consequently, the next two tiers if you’re a pretty big business already!)

One of the greatest advantages of using the ClickUp Business Plan is that you start off with ALL the nifty features from the free version as well as the unlimited plan.

(cough… BRANDING AND CUSTOMIZATION + STRONGER REPORTING capabilities… cough)

This means you get to manage your projects better, streamline processes better, and coordinate with your team better!

Not to mention, you also get more integrations and 10,000 Automations per month with access to multiple actions and conditions.

Aaand as if that’s not enough, you also get these features on top of everything else from the previous tiers:

  • Unlimited Teams
  • Custom Exporting
  • Advanced Public Sharing
  • Advanced Automations
  • Advanced Dashboard Features
  • Advanced Time Tracking

Limitations: If you’re a medium-sized business, then it’s highly likely that you have a lot of departments. Sharing Folder, List, task, checklist, Dashboard, Goal, or Doc from different departments might be a little nuanced since Team Sharing is not available in this tier.

ClickUp Business PLUS Plan

BEST FOR MULTIPLE TEAMS

Advantage: So, by now, you probably have a pretty good gauge of how the ClickUp pricing and plans work. The higher the plan goes, the more you get – basically. 

What sets the ClickUp Business Plus Plan apart, aside from having access to an insane amount of bells and whistles, is Team Sharing, the prioritized customer support, and Admin training with an internal ClickUp coach!

These feature comes especially handy for agency owners handling multiple teams and a significant roster of clients, it allows businesses to ease into ClickUp before stepping their game up yet another level and hiring a Vetted ClickUp Consultant.
