Focus: It Can Make or Break Your Business

I hear so many people talking about focus right now. I don’t know if we’re all suffering from shiny object syndrome or if we’ve just realized how important focus is, but it is on all our minds.

But, have you thought about how you can actually use focus to better your business? Like right this second?

Imagine buying a car, like a fancy Tesla maybe in red or green, and suddenly you see them everywhere.

That’s focus. Right there.

Because you got that shiny new car, what you focus on changed. You suddenly see this new thing everywhere.

This concept can make or break your business. How?

If you’re mind is focusing on how the grass is always greener on the other side like how that entrepreneur is making more income or how that business has more clients, all you’re focusing on is what’s missing for you!

And that’s what you’re going to see. You’ll get more of what you focus on. You see, the same principle applies here.

Take the stand of gratitude and be happy about what you have! Celebrate your success. Celebrate how far you’ve come in the last five days, five months, or five years. There is always something to celebrate.

Because what you focus on, you will see. And Isn’t that what you want to see more of?

If you focus on the negative, and all that’s going wrong, that’s all you’ll be able to see.

At some point you do have to come to terms with the fact that this is the ProtoPreneur life. Things will go wrong. Things will not go your way or the way you planned them to go. That’s what happens when we don’t have 100% control over anything.

The only thing we have 100% control over is ourselves. So focus on the good.

Focus on the client that just emailed you saying they are so happy with what you did for them.

The strongest thing to fight the fear that we experience in our business when things don’t go the way we planned is gratitude.

Be grateful for what you have, what you’ve accomplished, and for who you have in your life.

This is one of the biggest reasons why we have a gratitude section in the Bulletproof Business Planner every. single. day.

This is also why I don’t write about what I did wrong each day in the reflection section of the Bulletproof Business Planner.

If you’re just a little bit like me, those little things like using the wrong word or sounding a little bit off to a client, that will haunt me for the next week!

We don’t need to focus on that. You already have that in your head and you’re already working on that.

Focus on the positive. Write your gratitude in the morning. Reflect on the highlights in the evening.

And believe me, you will see more good around you than you’ll see bad. It’s that easy.

Not only will you feel better doing this, but doing this will also bring more good to your business! Use your brain power to focus on the positive and you’ll be happier and more successful in your biz.
