Your business is like a machine with many moving parts. To keep it running smoothly, you need to have a clear understanding of how each component works and how they all fit together.

A mind map is a graphical representation of your business, its goals, and the steps needed to achieve them. It’s a powerful tool for visualizing complex information and making connections between different concepts.

Creating a mind map for your business is an essential step in getting organized and ensuring that everyone is on the same page.

It will help you see the big picture and identify any areas that need improvement. But with so many business mind maps out there, which one should you pay attention to the most? Which one can potentially make or break your business?

[00:00:00] What do you mean we don’t have an org chart yet? How are people going to know what to do and who to call? We need an org chart now. Now, you just met Boss Betty, who was told the org chart is the most important business mind map you have to have in your business. And interestingly enough, a lot of my clients when they are going from solopreneur or small team and growing their team bigger, the first thing they want to do is an org chart and do titles. And I’m going to show you today why that is the worst idea to do, and the last business mind map you actually need to scale your business. Now we all know org charts. I literally just pulled up a template from whimsical here to give you a visual with it.

[00:00:59] It shows all of the company team members and employees who does what, whose title it is. And I’m going to tell you today, that’s the last thing you need to do. Don’t get me wrong. Titles give people a pride. The moment we start calling ourselves CEO, there is a pride to that. You suddenly grow five inches and you’re carrying yourself different.

[00:01:22] So titles matter. But titles do not matter in any way, shape or form when scaling your business, when growing your business. So, it’s the least important business mind map you actually need in your business. So, let’s throw that out and stop focusing on org charts as your most important business mind map. The org chart is not important because it does not display what actually matters in your business. And what matters in your business is your clients and the delivery of what your clients need. This sheet right here allows you to really lay out what’s important in your business, because there’s really just two areas of your business that matter, which is the growth. How are you actually getting clients in the door? And your fulfillment.

[00:02:11] How are you keeping them happy? What needs to be done to deliver whatever you deliver? So this is the perfect starting ground for you to even figure it out what you need to build these business mind maps that are important. Now, what is that one business mind map that actually will make or break you? I call it your money maker and it is based on Systemology written by Dave Jenyns. What that means is this business mind map allows you to really brain dump on your delivery. What is that thing that you are selling? How do people learn about it? How do you deliver it and how do you turn that client or that product into a repeat business? To dive deeper into this, this is the main, most important process in your business.

[00:03:03] How do people find you? How do you grab their attention? Then how can they actually inquire to work with you? And you really want to make this easy. Why you want to lay out your moneymaker like this as your most important business mind map is it will show you where you are getting stuck. It will show you in seconds of filling this out, where your clients are getting confused, where they are dropping off ,what doesn’t make sense.

[00:03:35] And this inquiry piece is one of the most important ones, because are they emailing you? Are they’re popping into your personal message? How are they getting a hold of you often enough? That is like 3, 4, 5, 10 different locations. You want to funnel this down. Get them on a call. Have them schedule wherever they grabbed your attention, or you grabbed their attention.

[00:03:58] Get them on a call. That’s your one single point of inquiry. What is your sales process? How are they going from, okay, I want to work with you to sign on the dotted line. How are they paying you? And simplify this. I do not want you to add another box to the right and another box to the right. One single way.

[00:04:21] Period. What is your onboarding process? Where does it happen? How do you make it easy? What do you need from your clients? It’s the same thing over and over again. This shouldn’t be 10,000 different steps. How are you delivering your product, your service, your experience with your clients? And last but not least the most important step that a lot of people forget in mapping out their business.

[00:04:48] How do you turn that into repeat business? How do you get a testimonial? Are you getting testimonials regularly from your clients? Are you getting reviews for your products? Are you asking them to refer you to other business people that might need your services? This one right here is the only business mind map you actually really need in your business to run efficient. Now, implementing all of this will require some project management and SOPs. So if you’re ready to dive deep into all of this and make all of this happen, go grab my SOAR webinar in the description to get even more information about this.
